The application process for the Chevening Scholarship involves submitting your educational documents, references, and one unconditional UK university offer. Remember, it's vital to submit these documents for your application to proceed. The Chevening Eligibility Checklist
Who Can Apply?
Before you commence your application, make sure you meet the Chevening eligibility criteria. To qualify, you must:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
- Commit to returning to your home country for a minimum of two years after your award has ended.
- Have completed an undergraduate degree, enabling entry to a postgraduate program at a UK university by the time you submit your application.
- Possess at least two years of work experience, equivalent to 2,800 hours.
- Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2023.
Do note that certain conditions can render you ineligible, such as holding British or dual British citizenship (unless you are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong), having refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country, or being an employee, a relative of an employee, or a former employee of His Majesty’s Government.
The Chevening Financial Coverage
The Chevening Scholarship is a fully-funded program covering university tuition fees, a monthly stipend, travel costs to and from the UK, an arrival allowance, a homeward departure allowance, the cost of one visa application, and a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
